Sanctuary! (Dec 26, 2024)

One of the last things we did in Braga was visit the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Sameiro.  It's in the mountains about 10 km (6 mi) from Braga and it's something we didn't have time to see on our 2022 day trip.  Building on the neoclassical domed church began in 1863 with the religious complex developing over several decades.

We made our way (via Uber) back to town and had some dinner.  Tomorrow we will pack up and then leave for our next destination on the 28th.  Stay tuned!
