After checking out of our room in Rome we took a high-speed train (Italo) to Florence, or as the Italians say Firenze. It's 275 km (171 mi) and took about 90 minutes.

Our accommodation for the next week was right in the old town and I'm guessing about 500 years old. Luckily the inside was renovated.
We left Rome in the morning, so we stopped for lunch
Just coming in to town and looking around, I can see a lot of beautiful things to explore.
