Walking around Valencia (Jan 9, 2025)

We are exploring more of Valencia today just by walking around and seeing what we can find.  It's certainly more leisurely than it was on our first swing through here!  Just some photos:

The Union and Phoenix Building, across from the Valencia Nord train station.

Portal of the Old Faculty of Medicine, Hospital Park.  It is a short walk from our apartment to this fascinating park.

Here we are at the Torres del Quart, one of two gates remaining from the old city walls (I saw the other one later).

Church of Santos Juanos, or Sant Joan del Mercat in Catalan

Fe and the Llotja de la Seda, or Silk Exchange.  We toured inside on a later day.

Entrance to the Central Market

View of the Market (right) and Santos Juanos Church (left) from Plaza de la Ciudad de Brujas.

That was about it for today.  As I mentioned in some of the captions, we revisited these places later (I'm writing this on 1/22) for a deeper exploration.  It doesn't take too long to walk here from our apartment and there's so much history packed into this small space.
